Architectural Contest
In 1910 the developer, the Royal Wuerttemberg Railways, organised a nationwide contest. There were 70 designs.
The jury decided on the »umbilicus sueviae« design of the young architect Paul Bonatz (1877 – 1956) and his partner Friedrich Eugen Scholer (1874 – 1948).
